Calibration & Test Gases Info

What is the accuracy of the gas Mixture?
The accuracy is as follow and is depending on the size of the cylinder

  • 12 ltr cylinder

    • For mixtures up to 99 ppm ±10%

    • For mixtures more than 100 ppm ±5%

  • 34, 58, 110 ltr cylinder

    • For mixtures 5-49ppm +/-10%

    • For mixtures 50-500ppm +/-5%

    • For mixtures > 500ppm +/-2%

What sizes of gas mixtures are you promoting?
There are many sizes of non refillable gas cylinders depending on the application in which you would like to use it

  • 5 ltr Steel

    • Size : 65 X 181 mm

    • Pressure : 8 Bar

    • Material : Steel

    • Capacity : 5 ltr content

    • Gas Handling: Aerosol

  • 12 ltr Aluminum

    • Size : 230 X 78 mm Dia

    • Pressure : 12 Bar

    • Material : Aluminum

    • Capacity : 12 ltr content

    • Gas Handling: 7/16″ 28NS/2 ma

  • 34 ltr Aluminum

    • Size : 230 X 73 mm Dia

    • Pressure : 34 Bar

    • Material : Aluminum

    • Capacity : 34 ltr content

    • Gas Handling: 5/8” – 18 UNF (C10)

  • 58 ltr Aluminum

    • Size : 360 X 88 mm Dia

    • Pressure : 34 Bar

    • Material : Aluminum

    • Capacity : 58 ltr content

    • Gas Handling: 5/8” – 18 UNF (C10)

  • 110 ltr Aluminum & Steel *

    • Size : 360 X 88 mm Dia

    • Pressure : 68 Bar

    • Material : Aluminum

    • Capacity : 110 ltr content

    • Gas Handling: 5/8” – 18 UNF (C10)

*Aluminum cylinders at 110 ltr are used in reactive gases and steel cylinders in non reactive gases

How should I dispose the non refillable cylinders?
All SpecCans are non-refillable, once empty they can be shipped or disposed of as non-hazardous waste through the normal waste streams, check any local legislation

What type of regulator will I need?
The type of regulator is depending on the size of the cylinder and the mixture. Our technical department will propose the suitable regulator for your application

Which is the self time life of the Gas mixtures?

  • 5 Ltr cylinders

    • Only non-reactive mixes – 1 year

    • Ethanol – 6 months

  • 12 Ltr cylinders

    • Non – reactive – 2 years

    • Reactive – not recommended

    • Ethanol – 1 year

    • 34/58 Ltr cylinders

    • Non-reactive – 3 years

    • Reactive – 18 months (including quad mixtures)

    • NO /N2 – 1 year

    • NO2/AIR, SO2/N2 – 9 months, >900ppm – 1 year

    • Ethanol – 3 years

    • Ethylene oxide – 1 year

    • Very reactive (cl2, hcl, hcn) 12 months

  • 110 Ltr cylinders

    • Non –reactive – 3 years

    • Ethanol – 3 year
